“I’ve learned of my own resiliency, that even in times of pandemic, in times of panic, when I’m confronted with myself, I’m able to learn from myself. That when I see my own issues and problems before me because nothing else is distracting me — because I have nothing else to do but sit at home and observe who I am — that I am not going to be someone who shies away from it. Because of the skills that I have learned and grown in, because of what I’ve chosen to focus on in life, I am able to confront those issues, and I’ve been able to become a better person by growing through them — not around them.
I’m proud of what I’ve done. I’m proud of who I am. I’m grateful for the life that is ahead of me, the opportunities and the choices that I have. I know that I’m blessed, and I’m ever-thankful for it.”
