During the first act, seniors Parv Gosai and Casie Peng perform a musical number of “Try Everything” from the movie “Zootopia” by Shakira. Gosai played the flute and Peng played the clarinet.
Pre-performance:
Q: How are you guys preparing for your performance?
PG: We are preparing by practicing together all the time. We are doing our best [to balance practice] with everything we have going on. We find time to practice before and after band [class as well].
Post-performance:
Q: How do you feel about your performance?
CP: It was really exciting [and] thrilling. I was surprised by the amount of people who clapped and had lights all around [us]. It shocked me a lot, but it was really fun.
Q: How did you feel about the flashlights in the audience during your performance?
PG: I was kind of surprised, because I was just staring at my music, and I looked up suddenly and everyone was waving their flashlights in the air. It was really cool.
