Sophomore Divya Salur warms up for the game. Salur didn’t play in the game, but she could sense the pulse of her teammates from the sidelines. “From sitting on the bench, I feel like we didn’t have much energy as we would. Usually during our practices, we have so much more energy, and we weren’t as scrappy,” Salur said.

Freshman Annika Engen spikes the ball across the net. Engen is the only freshman on the team. She’s been playing volleyball for six years and was disappointed when they lost to Independence High School. “I feel like we could have played a lot better, if we were playing the way we had the potential to play, the match would have gone a lot better for us,” Engen said.
