Question: What classes are you teaching this year?
Amy Holliday: Algebra 1 and Algebra 1 Part 1.
Q: How long have you been teaching and, if applicable, where else have you taught?
AH: I started teaching in 2010 and taught music and theater in West Virginia. Since moving to Loudoun County I have been a substitute, a teacher’s assistant, and now a full-time teacher. This will be my fifth year as a teacher.
Q: What are you most excited about for this year?
AH: Getting to have my own classroom again and see students in the building.
Q: What do you like most about teaching?
AH: Developing relationships with students.
Q: What are some of your interests?
AH: Reading, quilting/sewing, and making music.
Q: Do you have a fun fact about yourself that you would like to share?
AH: I have played in the pit orchestra for a few RRPA shows, including the very first school musical: Beauty and the Beast
Q: Is there anything else you would like your students to know about you?
AH: I have twin boys and they are starting kindergarten this year!
