Kick off a brand new year with the new season of “Cobra Kai.” Released on Dec. 31, the fan-favorite reboot series released the fourth season, answering burning questions left unanswered by the last season. With dramatic fight scenes, emotional moments, and great music, season four is a treat for karate fans.
The All-Valley Tournament brings fan favorites to the same scenes. Viewers now get to pay attention to Cobra Kai, Eagle Fang, and Miyagi-Do. However, Sensei Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Sensei Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) have worked together to take down Cobra Kai due to their hatred for Sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove). In this season, viewers watch as all three dojos prepare for the ultimate showdown. Tension is high, and the stakes are even higher, making for a nerve-wracking journey.
The season introduces new characters and brings back fan-favorites for special appearances, including a main villain from the original “Karate Kid” series, John Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). The tension in this season is the highest it’s ever been, as every episode is a whirlwind of drama, and all the new and returning characters add another level to the pressure.
When the tournament committee decides their attendance levels are low, they have a meeting to discuss. They’ve decided to break the tournament up into three rounds — skills, weapons, and sparring — that is split up into a girls division and a boys division.
Overall, “Cobra Kai” is an action-packed, drama-filled series to watch, perfect for viewers of any genre. This show will keep viewers on the edge of their seats until the very last second. The acting was believable with strong actor representation.
“Cobra Kai” has already been renewed for a fifth season on Netflix, to be released in the summer of 2022. Season four is the first released specifically for Netflix, and the previous three are available on YouTube and Netflix.
