On Friday, Feb. 17, students  gathered in a packed auditorium to watch fellow classmates participate in the Phoenix Pageant: a talent show open to all run by the Student Council Association (SCA). This year, seniors Parv Gosai, Casie Peng, Nat Bodman, Keerthana Govindarajan, Sneha Khandavalli, Jack Capobianco, and Olivia Helfen all entertained the student body with various unique performances.

Gosai and Peng paired up and gave a musical performance with the song ‘Try Everything’ from ‘Zootopia’ by Shakira.

The second act performers, Khandavalli and Govindarajan, also gave a musical performance. The pair sang a duet of “Love Is An Open Door” from the movie “Frozen.”

Following them, as the only soloist, Bodman performed a ballet routine with a little twist. Bodman’s performance started with him covered in glow sticks, highlighting his limbs. . The lights turned off and he was glowing. With the audience in shock, he started dancing on stage to ¨Sugar Plum Fairy¨ from the “Nutcracker.” Little did everyone know, it was actually junior Hayley Sutton, a lifelong dancer, showcasing her skills.

Performing the final act, Helfen and Capobianco danced to the “Just Dance” routine of  “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction donning blown up sumo suits.
