On March 14, Hindus celebrated the festival of colors, known as Holi. The holiday celebrates the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna, two gods in the Hindu religion. Traditionally, people who celebrate Holi throw colored powder and apply it to each other’s face to show the idea of good winning over evil. Holi is celebrated in two parts: “Choti Holi,” in which people enjoy traditional prayer with a bonfire and then, the next day, people celebrate with colors and share traditional food.
