Hallways to Airways: Students Take Off for Spring Break

“The second half [of Spring Break], I visited D.C. with a couple of friends. We just hung out around the city, had some dinner. It was one of my friends’ birthdays, so we had a nice little birthday party for them. [We also] saw a couple of the monuments, so the Washington Monument [and] the Lincoln Memorial.”

“I went to Cancun for Spring Break, and I stayed at a resort. I did activities such as going to Chichen Itza, which is one of the national wonders of the world. And so we toured the place and we got a jump in a Cenote, which is like this 200 feet deep pool of water.”

“I visited my uncle’s home in Umm Al Quwain, which is in the United Arab Emirates. I had a blast there. It is very picturesque there–calm, safe. It was great connecting with old friends, old teachers, and everybody. I did lots of fun things over there. I visited this one restaurant on top of the Burj Khalifa–Comptoir 102. The food was a great and overall fun experience.”

“[This break,] I went to Hershey Park with my family. It was a one-day trip; I woke up at around 7:00 am and left for Hershey at around 3:00 p.m. We went on a couple of rides: Candymonium, SooperDooperLooper, Jolly Rancher, and a few [others]. Afterwards, we went to a restaurant and grabbed some food. Overall, I had a great time. Definitely one of my favorite trips.”

“I [visited] India, specifically Chandigarh–it’s a district between Punjab and Haryana–for a Cricket Tournament. We got to play with some good players, we were against the Under 16 Punjab State Team. [Beyond] that, I met my grandparents, aunts, and uncles. My favorite experience there was [definitely] playing in the cricket grounds there. In America, there isn’t as much funding for the sport, so our cricket grounds aren’t as developed as the grounds there.”
