Sophomore Sehejdeep Kaur is a new player on the Rock Ridge lacrosse team. Kaur is excited to grow and strengthen her lacrosse skills on the team, while also putting her best skills forward on the field.
Q: Which seasons do you compete in for Rock Ridge?
A: I currently play lacrosse, but I was also a part of the winter cheer team and color/winter guard team.
Q: What is your position in the team?
I primarily play offense.
Q: How long have you been playing lacrosse?
A: This is my first year being on the lacrosse team.
Q: Why did you start playing lacrosse?
A: I started playing lacrosse because some of my favorite teachers and previous coaches were going to be coaching the lacrosse team, so I was very excited to be a part of the lacrosse team.
Q: What strengths do you bring to the team?
A: The strengths that I bring to my lacrosse team is my positive attitude and mindset
Q: What is your favorite part about playing lacrosse?
A: My favorite part has been meeting new people, making new friends, and building strong connections with my team that can support me and work together on the team.
Q: How do you balance sports with academics?
A: I try my best not to procrastinate and always submit my homework and assignments on time.
Q: What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of weeks?
A: Over the next few weeks, I am looking forward to improving my lacrosse skills and growing over the next few years as a lacrosse player.
Q: How are you doing so far this season?
A: So far, I have been doing pretty well this season and I’ve grown a lot and gotten a lot better from when I first picked up my stick.
Q: What is some advice you would give to people who are interested in playing lacrosse?
A: For people wanting to play lacrosse, I recommend that you practice a lot outside of school so you can get a lot of repetition in, and always try your best so you can have fun.
