Arjun Chand is a junior here at Rock Ridge, and this is his first year being part of the newspaper staff. He joined the newspaper staff this year in part because his sister, Diya Chand, was in the newspaper program. She helped inspire Arjun to take journalism as an elective and to talk about the issues affecting the school and community. Arjun’s goals for this year are to continue doing well academically with good grades and learning valuable lessons from the classes he is taking this year in preparation for next year when he is a senior. Outside of school, Arjun loves talking about politics and history that affect our lives (though he has issues trying to discuss the latter). This year, Arjun hopes to bring stories that have a positive impact in the community, and he is excited to be a part of the Blaze this year.
