“My dad is a Type 1 diabetic. I think he has three siblings, and two of the three siblings are also diabetic. So basically, my whole family has been staying at home. We would have to get the groceries delivered to our house. We would have to leave them outside for three hours in the sun. Then, we’d bring them in the house and wipe them all down with gloves and Clorox. So everything was just such a long process. Normally, we can go out as a family to walk the dog or go somewhere. But, for my dad, he wouldn’t even leave the house because there is always that worry. Especially for high-risk people — their chance of survival is a lot less. So it was scary for us at least.”
