![With the energy and effort the Bolts were bringing to the game, the Phoenix had to step up and match them to make it through their first game of the season. Thursday, Aug. 24, marked the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year and the school’s 10th year. The building swarmed with students falling into each other’s arms after long summers away, staff welcomed buses pulling in, and teacher prepared for their first day of classes. Students and teachers shared how it felt to be back in the building and what they were looking forward to as a new school year began.
