Battle of the Dulles District: Phoenix Girls Tennis Wins Regular Season Championship

On May 10, the Phoenix girls tennis team held their senior night against the Lightridge Lightning. The game ended with a Phoenix victory of 8-1 and the title of regular season champions.

On Tuesday, May 10, the Phoenix girls varsity tennis team went up against the Lightridge Lightning. That night, the girls held their senior night and celebrated a victory of 8-1, claiming the title of regular season champions. 

In the first half of the match, the Phoenix took a secure lead in singles, winning 5-1. After their strong performance in singles, three doubles matches took place. The Phoenix  won all three doubles matches with a score of 3-0. The game ended with a final score of 8-1, ensuring their place in districts which will begin on May 13.
